A thought struck me today in my devotions: Jesus prays for us. Now, if you really stop to think about that, it is truly an amazing thing. Our Lord and Saviour, our Holy King prays for us. Why? Because his love is never ending!
I read this passage from John 17 today, and it melted my heart!
9I pray for them: I pray not for the world, but for them which thou hast given me; for they are thine.
10And all mine are thine, and thine are mine; and I am glorified in them.
11And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me, that they may be one, as we are.
12While I was with them in the world, I kept them in thy name: those that thou gavest me I have kept, and none of them is lost, but the son of perdition; that the scripture might be fulfilled.
13And now come I to thee; and these things I speak in the world, that they might have my joy fulfilled in themselves.
14I have given them thy word; and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.
15I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil.
If you have been born-again and walk closely with the Lord, you know how powerful prayer is! You understand that even our own prayers can change a person’s life. Think about the power that Jesus himself has in praying to the Holy Father above!
Jesus is the most amazing person . . .God . . . King ever! I praise God that we can go to Him at anytime, in any place, in any circumstance! He is so good!!!!
And now, brethren, I commend you to God, and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all them which are sanctified. – Acts 20:32
Today, as I was returning from a trip to Houghton Lake, I heard that the bus routes had incredible numbers, and my class had 19 wiggly peanuts. At least three people were saved. I was thinking about how I have been praying over these ministries, as well as many others in the church, and how God has been answering our prayers. I also started thinking that because He knew how much we desired it that Jesus was also praying to the Father on our behalf. Again, He is so good!!!!
Right now, I truly feel overwhelmed in His goodness! I praise the Lord for saving my soul!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. – Romans 8:38-39
